mike murphy and peggy noonan talk about sarah palin

um, wow. i don't know if it's rat's on a sinking ship, but listen to these two republican speech writers talk about the choice of palin for vp, thinking that their mics weren't on. let's just say that the language is a little salty, and maybe they're not for her as vp.

Rats on a sinking ship? Just because two speech writers dont happen to agree with the choice for vp doesnt mean all hell is going to break loose and the Republican party is doomed. They disagree with the choice their paty has made, just as I am sure some democrats/speechwriters/politicians disagree with choices their party makes. They are entitled to that opinion so I fail to see how this means any more than that. A decent amount of democrats wanted Hillary as their candidate and not Obama, does that mean the Deomcrats are rats on a sinking ship?

Actually, Democrats have been spending the last 8 years sitting on the beach trying to inflate a raft.

And I see where Ed was going with his commentary; which wasn't so much that the party itself was doomed, more that the ticket itself was doomed.

And considering the amount of criticism I've seen in the mainstream media (see yahoo news this morning), that's a fair assessment when I think about how much they've been sucking McPain's balls for the last I-don't-know-how-many years.

The GOP is a party of solidarity and, much like the Catholic church with a sex scandal, do their damnedest to make sure to circle the wagons. Noonan and Murphy oopsed pretty big at poor time.

you see, i'm trying to leave it up to you, the reader to decide if it is.

and frankly, there have been quite a few people that have been jumping off the republican ship throughout this candidacy. many republican disparaged mccain as the choice for numerous reasons, and others came out in similar fashion after palin was named. as adam said, this has often been a party that is very good at circling the wagons, at least publically. so, to have some republican staff type making such a public gaffe is a bit surprising.

and for the sake of clarity, i don't republicans are rats, or that there is a ship.

Not really related but I was surprised (don't think I need to explain why) how "pleased" Focus on the Family's Dobson was with the choice of Palin.

Also heard that visually she is mix between Tina Fey and Peggy Hill.
