Is using the word "local" something you are trying to get people to start using here or do you just want everyone to see how cool you are for using an obscure word for bar? Both perhaps? Just curious;)
it's something i'm trying to get people here to say because i think it's a cool, different way to refer to the bar. like, "hey, let's meet up over @ the local and relax."
and, this is especially true because the landmark is our home base. you missed it, but we discussed this on sat eve, and i admit, i have a feeling of mine-ness about that place, even though i do not own or work there. it's our place.
I knew what you were doing Ed, I just found it funny because for me it came out of no where. I am not a big slang person so it may take me awhile to get used to it but I feel just about the same way about Landmark as you do.

Everyone knows our names and I'm sure a drunk mail carrier has sat at the end of the bar as some point.
