Didn't I read somewheres that the fay Wrays are now a trio??

Do you happen to know what time?

they are a trio now, sorta. tonight they will only be playing as a duo. their bass player lives in l.a., and so he plays with them when able. he'll be playing their show over the weekend @ the partisan (i think saturday night).

i don't know the time yet. i sent them a myspace message, and they said they weren't sure on the time.

i'm not going for the very reason you suggested... not interested in another hang over. catch up with you tomorrow afternoon for handball, hopefully.

I'm glad SOMEBODY posted about this and I'm bitter I wasn't able to go. Tell us about it, Ed.

fay wrays were enjoyable, but the rest of the evening wasn't stellar. basically, they were playing on an open mic night, so you get a lot of randomness. i thought of you, fresnan, because one of the bands was old school metal. lots of metal guitar posing. not terrible, but not inspiring either. then, aesop fables, who was the host, free styled with a group. it was mediocre. then the fay wrays, who were their charming selves, and kicked out the jams. then i made like a bannana and left.

Thank you for the rundown, sir. You should post those on that Fresnan blog.
