jackets in the summer

it's spring (right?) and summer is around the corner. today in fresno it's 77 degrees. so what am i thinking about? jackets.

frankly, i love getting jackets in the wrong season, and i've got my eyes locked on two different adidas coats.

this first jacket is the adidas duffel coat. it's nice, and would work well in the cold and rain.

this second coat is quite the catch. it's a part of the adidas vespa line. i've got two pairs of the shoes, and this coat is downright sexy. it reminds me of a peacoat in style. not quite sold on the big zippers, but really like that dark blue w/orange accents. quite fpu, and i could imagine standing out @ some early season track meets in this beauty.

lost glasses

anybody seen these bad boys lying around your house, car, somewhere? i seem to have misplaced them, and have been turning my house upside down trying to find them. it's been a few weeks since i've seen them, so even if i haven't been in your car/house/purse in a little bit, i'd appreciate if you'd give a look.

thanks

new shoes

so, i love shoes. i have to work at not just buying shoes all the time. this means that i receive many a catalog that i throw away without looking at because i don't want to deal with the desire. anyway, i was actually needing some new shoes because some of my older pairs were about to be retired. oh yeah, i pretty much wear exclusively adidas, so of course, that's what i got.

the first pair is a pair of indoor soccer shoes. i love the indoor shoe, light, good support, comfy. this pair is a special edition devoted to the orlando pirates. don't know who they are? well, they're a south african team that i've been familiar with since my bro & sis moved their. i won't really say i'm a true fan of theirs, but i will say that if i did follow a side there, it would be them.

the second pair is a canvas one. these are based on some indoor table tennis shoes. that's right, ping pong shoes. i dug the stitched on stripes. i'm curious to see how well the canvas holds up with the motorcycle. fortunately, they were on clearance so even if they shred, i'll feel alright about the purchase. the bottom is a little lacking in traction, sort of like some shot put shoes. i think they'll probably be like gazelles, where the tread wears off and you've got some slick bottom shoes, especially when it's wet.

show me them heels

last night, i was talking to sara and adam, amongst others, and the question of adidas high heels came up. being an adidas aficionado i gave it quite a bit of thought, but wasn't sure. so, when i came home i did some research.

of current styles, these flat-ish ones are the closest to heals.

however, i will say that there was a red pair in the y3 (high end adidas designer) line that i wasn't able to fully look @ or take the picture from. they looked likea short heel.

gilbert arenas black president

gilbert arenas is doing some interesting stuff these days. he's a long time blogger, which is pretty interesting for a nba player because he's quite candid. anyhow, he's got a new shoe out, by adidas. what's interesting is that he's do twenty different versions, each in it's own little homage to something in his life. here's one i enjoyed:

looky looky

so, i posted not long ago about my search for sunglasses. i had zeroed in on some oakleys, and was looking to find them locally. so, i went to a sunglass place that i've purchased from before. they treated me very nicely, and i ended up buying a nice pair of glasses for a lot less than the oakleys i was looking at. so of course, today i find something that might be better.

and, they're by adidas, so i could continue my label-whoring style (adidas is one of the few brands i wear). not too expensive. maybe i'll look around some of the fresno dealers, see if i can find them, try them on and check the fit. because, you know, you can never have too many pairs of sunglasses.

earn them stripes

really, you're worried about kangaroos? there's plenty of them. worry about that polar bear (even if 70% don't live in the artic).

we shall over come. we shall over come. (uhhh, is that last line offensive?)
