i know bumper sticker politics are overly simplistic, and it goes both ways, but these just really seem to bother me. the buck farack one just seems so disrespectful. again, i know it goes both ways and that there were disrespectful ones about bush. probably even eff bush ones.
are we able to rise above the lowest common denominator out there? i mean, i'm sure (i'm assuming) the guy driving this truck felt that everyone should respect the commander in chief when it was the last guy, and yet there is no respect being given for the new commander in chief. btw, i took this photo a day before inauguration. and when i'd seen the truck before it was a couple of weeks. i imagine that the stickers may have even been on before the election or shortly after it. i doubt there was even a thought to respect the new president. to give him a chance.

I'm almost more appalled by the "Obama sucks" sticker.
Like, really? You might as well just call Obama a poopie head, it's an equally mature and well thought out political position.
I really hate "clever" (and I use the term loosely) political bumper stickers. This includes both the NObama stickers and the "W"orst stickers. I am an equal opportunity hater.
Don't even get me started on people who put political slogans on their babies.
I agree completely with you Ed that those bumper stickers are extremely disrespectful. I have seen eff Bush bumper stickers as well and I dont like them either but what makes these worse in my eyes is like you said, they havent even given him a chance. People like this are just so disapointing to me. It is no wonder it is so hard to find common ground, they wont even give someone a chance.

but, since you found the blog by searching for that bumper sticker, i'll venture that you have judged the president without regard to anything he has or hasn't done.
and since you reduce respecting our president to holding hands and singing kumbaya (and seem to be using that as an insult) i'll guess that aren't an actual follower of Jesus the Christ.
He's had his chance - and what has he done? Drove the economy into the dirt, about to ef up medicine, then for good measure he will sign away US sovereignty for some global warming BS "treaty." You think Buck Farack is disrespectful? I'd much prefer it simply say, "FUCK Hussein Obama."
Part of me really hopes this is the same anonymous from months ago, checking back in to share their distaste.
Another part of me really, really, really wishes people like this weren't quite so short on the memory or the ability offer depth in their thinking about complex issues like the economy, global climate change, or health care.
