uefa

so, i'm getting ready to watch the 2nd uefa match today, and it's real madrid vs bayern munich. i'm particularly stoked because i really like madrid, and this should be a great match. so, as the teams are coming out and standing there, this is what music is playing in the stadium. yep, germans.

wouldn't you know it, munich scores in like 16 seconds, the fastest ever in uefa champions league. damn. we're all equal on aggregate score (3-3), but munich has away goals tie breaker as of now.

that isnt' the same song. the song you heard is the official uefa song they play before all the games. they's similar. here's the info

:: UEFA Champions League music
This was composed by Tony Britten. He was commissioned to write and arrange the music in a Handelian style. It is performed by the internationally acclaimed Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and sung by the Academy of Saint Martin in the Fields Chorus in the three official UEFA languages: English, French and German. There are no lyrics to the song as such; the word ‘Champions’ is simply repeated in the different languages. The anthem is played at the start of all UEFA Champions League matches to accompany the centre circle ceremony and accompanies the opening and closing sequences of all UEFA Champions League broadcasts.
