that's right, porn radio. have you ever heard of it? well, we now have it out in the bible belt of the west.
The new format, promoted as "all sex radio, all the time," features only songs with lustful lyrics.
if you ask me, it sounds pretty lame and gimmicky. i doubt it will last.

lame - pathetic - boring (seriously, who wants to listen to moaning and "oh, baby" all day long!) - sad...
just a few words that come to mind
Come baby come baby baby come come,
(repeat)
Well you gotta give me lovin and you gotta give me some...
Two balls and a bat
The pitcher wears a hat
sliding into home base
trying to hit a home run
Swing batta batta batta
batta batta swing!
Interesting. I'll have to give it a listen and see what's up.
Sadly, I think that it may do well. There are a lot of sickos out there.
Yeah, I'm listening to it right now. It's no big deal. It's a gimmick to get people to tune in while they work out their normal programming.
Besides, the idea is pretty sweet minus the dubbed over moans. That's just annoying. Look at that list of songs though.
Sooo, yeah, it's a gimmick, so everyone can just settle down.
And it worked too, Ed advertized for them as well as the paper. Now they're just playing random songs from random genres and letting people call in to suggest what they'd like the format to be. I heard a Pearl Jam song, a dance song, a couple of R&B songs, and you know what, when the adult contemporary came on, I even listened the Bryan Adams song. Who can't like the perfect synth piano and the searing guitar solos, so ethereal. And yes, Ed, yes, I know how you know I'm gay.
i don't know that anyone was really that riled up. i know i wasn't.
and adam, i don't think you're gay and tend to shudder when people use that as an insult.
Sorry, I realized that I had posted almost the same thing again and it looked jumpy. Yesterday, the station was just playing a loop of some guy saying, "Now that we have your attention" and giving the station's phone number.
Today, they were playing music sans moaning and other references mentioned in the article.
I did get a little riled up at the "sickos" comment. I felt it was a bit harsh for this instance.
As far as the gay thing, I didn't know that referencing 40-year-old Virgin was out of style now. But, I'm glad you feel that way about epithets.
i understood the reference. and, it's always bothered me a bit. not that i haven't said it in the last two weeks or whatever.
but, i do think it's a bit funny, maybe even ironic that so-called enlightened liberals (and i'm not talking about you or anyone specific) will us gay or other synonyms as an insult but i'm called homophobic because i don't think that's the intended lifestyle.
