yep, not much to talk about today. or, that is, there is plenty to talk about in the world but i'm not feeling up to commenting yet (like the supreme court handin out a byatch slap to bush & co about gitmo prisoners, enemy combatants and military trials).
in other news, i'm starting to turn in resumes around town. hopefully something will come of that.

and in other news, looks like putting an anti-flag burning ammendment in the constitution is going to pass in the senate (i guess they have their 2/3, right?). so, maybe well get to vote on it.
so, where are these resumes going to go?
I read that the flag-burning ammendment got batted down one vote short. I sure hope it didn't pass, but then again, we can always burn flag-like objects.
well, at least wed get to vote on it. when the nazis outlawed it i dont think it ever went to the polls. but then again, what do i know?
also, im not really pro flag-burning, im just not into it being a part of the constitution. whatever.
What I find terribly interesting is the list of other countries that have banned flag burning.
Cuba, China, Iran and Saddam Hussein’s Iraq. Huh, seems like a good group to be in. I say we join up.
Excellent post title. Spot on.
"well, at least wed get to vote on it."
hmmm...it's been a while, and I'm embarrassed to say I'm not 100% on this, but I'm pretty sure that when/if it passes the congress, "we" don't vote on it- it goes to the states, meaning the state legislatures or a state convention. Not a popular vote. Which is good, because many of the good things we have would not have acheived a popular vote majority.
...and criminy, can you imagine the craploads of advertizing and emothional appeals we'd have to put up with?
no, I don't type with a lisp, that should be "emotional"
uber steve is funny. a lisp. lol.
