anderson cooper disproves birther rhetoric

what scares me is that this guy is a congressman texas state representative who is either willfully ignorant or just a blatant liar.

He's not a Congressman, he's a Texas state representative. Don't forget that Texas is the state where they mandate school science and history books based on the personal beliefs of the school board instead of, say, the knowledge of historians and scientists.
