Seriously, I think the only way to get the iPhone is to become a deacon in the iChurch and drink the iKool-Aid and wait for the iMothership to take you away.
i enjoy the radio as well. but, very few mp3 players actually have that capability. so, yeah, if you want to listen to the radio, don't get any sort of mp3 player.
as for things breaking, i know adam has had problems with his, but he is literally the only person i know that has. that doesn't mean that others haven't, just that the people i know, sans adam & his ipod, have been free of problems. (not in life, just with their apple products).
but this phone, man, it's raw. i admit, i like tech toys, but not as much as some. this phone will bring world peace. this phone will end hunger. this phone will bring home stray amish children.
okay, it won't do most of those things. but, it will be an awesome toy. hopefully i won't break it.
Hey, I've got my complaints about Apple, but my computer has served me well, and I believe I'm the only one of my friends with a first generation iPod as well, so that's probably why I'm getting screwed. All the bugs and stuff.
I can't help you with the radio unless you're interested in podcasts.
Seriously Ed, please don't get one. Scott already had jealousy issues when you got the better ipod than him. I have already told him that no, he can't get one!
I'm excited about that phone. The technology built into that phone is in no other device like that. People are literally depating is it an iPod with a phone, a phone with a built in iPod, or a hand held device with phone and music capabilities? Someone may come out with something better down the road, but Apple has always been one of the first to put something out there that pushes technology. Remember when they put out the iMac with no floppy and this think called Firewire? Or what about the first company to put out a device that can get you on the internet using WiFi?
Scott, have you seen the Sony Mylo? It's been around for a little while.
Adam, you're right: Podcasts can be pretty cool (www.themixtapeshow.net). Usually I just burn them onto CDs, which makes it pretty easy, but yeah--wasteful.

Hey, there's something on your lip...
My bad, it's just the iHook(tm).

he's just jealous! He really wants deep down to be a mac person but his pride is getting in the way.
I saw the iphone on cingular's website today. I can't remember if it was released or not, I'm sure you can upgrade very soon.
Yeah Jay, get with the program. Everyone mouths off until they get one.
Sweet. That's my license to keep ragging on it for a while.
What does everyone do when they do get one, and it breaks all the time?
I like being able to hear music that I don't already own. I like sports talk and news. I'm a radio person-- what can I say?

i think we're going to have to get 2 because both heather and i are seriously excited.
and, heather wants to point out that since this phone has internet, you can get internet radio on it.
finally, i meant to say this earlier regarding jay's comment to adam, "oh snap!"
