elton john wants to rid you of your religion
so, in this story, sir elton john talks about how organized religion should be banned. now, i didn't really want to talk about the article. i just wanted you all to see the picture of elton that the bbc used with it.

This wondering "why he can't just 'fall asleep' in his car" thing...I don't get it. Is it at all related to the religion hating? Like, it would be his "just desserts" for wanting to ban organized religion if he got caught high and asleep in his car? Help me out here.
no. heather's opinion, and i'm not sure she's too far off, is that elton john has become a bitter old guy. in the last year, he's made public comments about madonna, religion, george michael, and some other topics. so, she's saying, jokingly, "why can't elton stop running his mouth, saying scandalous comments? perhaps he should model his behavior after other famous male, english, homosexual, pop stars."
her joke is more about the totality of sir elton john's actions.
frankly adam, i'm surprised that you would think that heather (or i) would want someone to get "just desserts" for holding an opinion. if he wants to accuse madonna of lip syncing while presenting an award for best performer of last year to her, that's his deal. if he wants to fued with g.michael, fine. if he wants to release a statement about banning religion but also admitting that he knows people who religion is a beautiful thing, fine. he has the right. myself, i wish he'd go back to his rock musical stylings that made him the "madman accross the water." stop making these disney soundtrack songs, or the remakes of candle in the wind. but that's just my opinion.
oh, and i want to emphasize (again) that i posted the story in relation to the picture that the bbc used.
No qualms here, just looking for an explanation. As I read it, there was a disparity.
