No, I don't think I ever came out and said terrible. I think I said something like, "I was entertained for whatever two and a half hours I was sitting there," and "the graphics didn't suck as bad as I thought they would based on that commercial I saw." But, I can think of few movies I'd like to see less than that one. I sat through The Limey. Not a great movie, but I still let it have my attention for two hours. I'll watch just about anything and give it my full attention. Unfortunately, for The Chronicles of Narnia, I think that with repeated viewing I would grow to dislike it more and more. If I kept watching The Limey, I'd probably find things I missed and grow to at least enjoy it.
It's been a very long time since I've read the books. Maybe they were more entertaining then because I was younger or in a different mindset. Maybe they were crappy and I just didn't know it. But unlike The Lord of the Rings, it did not supplement my enjoyment of the novels.
I disagree with your comparison to Star Wars, but you knew that already. Maybe you could expound because the only things I can remember you saying about Star Wars was that they were too slow or there was too much plot exposition or you didn't like Jar Jar or something like that. Correct me if I'm wrong please, but I found those movies much more enjoyable, maybe because I grew up watching the first three over and over again and I really wanted to see some prequels.
i doubt i ever said the fist 2 star wars were too slow. i said that they could have been cut in half and made into one movie. since we don't see any of the training/raising/etc that happens between 1 & 2, that could be an easy transistion within the film.
it's true, i didn't care for the jar jar character. his role in the film could have been accomplished by a character that felt less like comic relief, or something tossed in for the kids.
finally, i felt the specail effects of all three lotr movies were way ahead of the prequels. they were definately better than chronicles, and i also felt that the effects to narnia were better than the commercials showed. they still weren't great.
as stated in my previous comment, it's fine if your opinion changed. if i remember correctly, you said that you give it a 'c' that night. mine hasn't. not about narnia, or the first 2 prequels. i enjoyed the third, thought they finally put out a good movie.
you were entertained during the movie. no one is asking you to see the movie again. all i'm doing is telling people to watch a humorous video from some comedians. or else.

Yes, a little chronic would have made that movie infinitely better than it was as seen by a law-abiding citizen. Terrible movie. Terrible.
Funny video.
funny, you didn't say it was a terrible movie when we discussed it that night.
and, if that's your opinion now, fine. i disagree. not the best movie i've seen, but i think it was on par with episodes 1 & 2 of star wars.
