it looks like jesus is trying to get a peep of this large canvas.
how much longer till its done? ive wondered before how long it takes you to do one of your paintings.

depends on a few things:
1. how often i work. sometimes this happens a lot. other times i don't work for months
2. how big a project is. like, how much detail there is or size, or if certain parts get painted over and over.
3. if i paint it over and over.
4. if stuff has to dry before other parts can be worked on.

so, i don't know how long this particular one will take. probably longer than most due to size, and to achieve the effect i want i think it's going to be difficult. or, i'll do a crappy job and it'll look bad. then i'll paint over it.

Maybe even years.

it's all true. i have had some take weeks to go from blank to done. i have had some take months to be done. i have had a few be worked and reworked and taken years to be finished.

of course, this all begs the question, what is finished? when is a painting really done? it seems like there is always something that could be done differently, modified, altered.

It's done when they hand you the cash. Until someone paints over it to save it from raving dictatorships trying to destroy valuable paintings.
