rebuilding my digital life

ugh. so, as i mentioned here, my laptop was in the shop getting a new hard drive installed. i've now got it back, and have been laboriously putting software and data onto it, trying to get back to were i was before it dropped out on me.

oh so many little things that i've got to find again, especially all of those little quirky websites that i had bookmarked.

mac os problems?

dear computer,
i'm not happy with you right now. i would like you to stop crashing inexplicably. seriously, stop it.

welcome home

got the laptop back today. so, now i'm busy putting data back on it from my backup drive.

oh the joys.

but, it's nice and clean, and running smoothly.

and it keeps going

sheesh. blogging still limited due to limited access. the laptop is still being fixed, and they can't give me a good idea o how long. all they can tell me is they're waiting on a part and hopefully it will be done early next week. sheesh.

posting may be sporadic

the next few days may be quiet around here. my computer has been acting up, and when i ran my disc utility program, it said the hard drive was failing. so, i'm currently sitting @ the apple store, waiting to have tech support to check me out.

in other news, i hear apple is putting out their next o.s. next week. so, now might be time...

UPDATE - yep, the hard drive is failing. but, i seem to have been able to back everything up (i hope). so, it's a matter of time before computer no worky. but, it's only about $150 for a new hard drive. which is a lot less than a new laptop.
