i read a lot of blogs. sometimes, i comment on blogs. what i don't understand, is why people don't interact with their commenters? you took the time to write something thoughtful, interesting, and it piqued my interest. i commented. others commented. but no interaction from the original poster. very strange to me.
what do you think, why do people who blog not always interact via comments?

People have different reasons for blogging. Some of those reasons don't have anything to do with engaging commenters. I'm a fan of that happening, but I think some people are writing for another purpose.
I like interaction. It's part of the reason I don't blog much anymore because everyone is using the shorter forms of social media.

it's true, there are a lot of different reasons behind blogging. i just don't quite get why you'd even have a comment option if you're not going to interact.
