what to do?

hmmm, i think i've got to rename this blog. i'm about to send out some resumes. now, i don't have any problem with the content here. but, prospective employers may. so, i may go a little more anonymous here.

update - if you're here, you've figured out that i've moved and made the jump.

  1. hey...i understand hence my blog is my name free...

although i'd love to share myself more freely witht he world.

I had an interview and they had googled by name and asked be questions about columns I'd written for the college paper!

  2. yeah, i changed the name on the top, but i think i'm going to have to take my name out of the blog. or, just make this one about my art. but i think i'm far too lazy for that.

  3. That's a shame, now you just have to make sure that all your friends only link you by your blog title and not your name.

I think that at this point, it's relatively futile to try and remain anonymous. Commenters have dropped the school's initial's enough times on my blog that I don't think it would matter anymore, in my case.

  4. yeah, but it's still a little less obvious than my whole name. like, i know that someone reached my blog by searching "my name + the college". i didn't mind, because i figured it was a track kid or something. but, now, as i was working on my resume, i started to rethink it. searched my name, and i had moved up to like the number 4 or 5 link. so, i rethought it.

i don't mind if i'm listed as ed on other people's pages, and most haven't thrown out whole names. but i would appreciate those who have my full name changing it.
